First Place at Das Renn Treffen 2016!

East Coast Classics takes home three 1st Place prizes at the 2016 Das Renn Treffen! We showed five cars and the 1981 911SC , 1981 911SC Outlaw, 2015 Macan all took home First Place in their class. Developed by Fifteen52 and well known Porsche guy Magnus Walker, the Outlaw 001 takes the inspiration to a higher level.

Unlike so many replica designs currently on the market, this design also adds functional and aesthetic enhancements. More openings to the face of the wheel allow more avenues for brake heat to escape, and for those that are concerned about such things, those same extra openings serve to help show off upgraded rotors and calipers.

Custom built from forged 6061 billet aluminum centers and forged 6061 spun barrels, the 2-piece Outlaw 001 is as light as it is strong. From design to engineering to manufacturing to assembly, the Outlaw 001 is 100% American Made.

Available in diameters of 15″ to 18″, and a huge variety of widths and offsets, the 2-piece Outlaw 001 is ideally suited to work with 911 cars of almost any year and body style.

Also available is a 3-piece version of the Outlaw 001. Using the same quality materials and construction as the 2-piece version, and also 100% made in the USA, the 3-piece Outlaw will use separate outer and inner barrels bolted together by top-grade hardware. Introducing the Forged Monoblock Outlaw 001

Our 1984 Porsche 911 Targa project gets underway

We purchased this 1984 Porsche 911 Targa from someone who abandoned the project. The car was sitting under a tree for about six years so we had our work cut out for us.

The floors needed a patch so we sourced a floor panel directly from our shelves. If you notice our floors are black. We use a product similar to what you would use as a bedliner for a pickup truck. This helps control the noise and heat that goes into the cabin. Dents were straightened out and minimal rust on the car was addressed.

Project: 1976 Chocolate Brown Targa

Before: 1976 Chocolate Brown Targa the day it got to the shop.

This is one of our previous Porsche rescues which we purchased in October 2014. The car was actually an abandoned project. Both the engine and transmission were removed from the car. Most of the interior was either incorrect or missing. During our cleaning and researching, we discovered it was originally painted chocolate brown. We painstaikingly brought this classic Porsche back to its original glory — crazy 1970s color and all — and we’ll be documenting the process on this blog. Join us for the ride!
